HKSAR Government to launch an IT Solution Directory project in November 2002. The Hong Kong Productivity Council is responsible for project implementation. This Directory has captured solutions from all IT solution providers in Hong Kong. We are accepting registration from IT Solution Providers.
The Hong Kong SAR Government and the Central Government announced CEPA 2 the new round of trade in goods and services liberalization for the Hong Kong SAR with the China Mainland. As you may be already aware, information technology is among the new sectors opened up among the trade in services categories.
Hong Kong Wireless Development Centre (HKWDC) is a new non-profit operation entity established in December 2003 with funding from the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF), HKSAR Government. The centre is managed by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA) to reinforce the promotion in awareness, usage and development of wireless technology and applications in Hong Kong. HKWDC members are:
1.) Wireless Application Developers
2.) Mobile Content Providers
3.) Mobile Content Aggregators
4.) System Integrators for Wireless Products
The MOU cum Seminar strengthens the collaboration across boundary to build regional network for wireless and digital content industry players. The Seminar conducted by HKWDC and TRLabs share the experiences with successful cases on how they benefit on its members and industry players. It also elaborates its infrastructure innovation. The collaboration leverages the resources in terms of technology, business connection and applications dissemination. It is worth for us to learn the successful factors, direction evolution and continue improvement on TRLabs/NEWT as a role model on HKWDC and Digital Media Centre (DMC).
