HKDNR pre-announces .hk Domain Name

We pre-announce with pleasure the launch of the new Second-Level .hk’ domain names (’2LD’) in Jan 2004 tentatively. Priority of registration** will be given to existing customers under the Hong Kong Domain Name Registration Co.

Mentorship Programme for SMEs invites applications

The Trade and Industry Department (TID) invites SME proprietors to join the 2003/04 Mentorship Programme, which is run by its Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) in partnership with 42 leading trade and industrial organisations. The Programme aims to provide an opportunity for SME entrepreneurs to learn from and be guided by accomplished entrepreneurs, senior executives, and professionals through one-to-one free counselling. SME entrepreneurs who run locally registered companies employing fewer than 20 people in Hong Kong and are established for less than five years are eligible to apply for the Programme. Each SME entrepreneur admitted to the Programme will be assigned a mentor for a period of nine months. Mentors and mentees are expected to meet each other at least three times during the period.
