In order to consult the Information and Communications Technology Industry for possible enrichment of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will organise a Consultation Seminar to collect industry suggestions on the subject for Governments further discussion with the Mainland authority.
The Consulate General of Canada, the National Research Council of Canada and the Hong Kong Productivity Council are organizing a Wireless Innovation and Technology Partnering Mission to Canada. The group will take part in the Wireless Industry Congress 2003 (www.wic2003.com) in Ottawa, and will visit leading wireless and electronics related companies/organizations in Calgary and Vancouver.
The purpose of the mission is to promote the opportunities of Hong Kong? wireless/electronics industry in view of the CEPA initiatives. It is also a platform to identify innovative projects in the fields of wireless, computer, telecom equipment, fiber optics, photonics, magnetic, etc. with NRC and companies in Canada, for business matching and technology collaboration.
